ABOUT
After the election of Donald Trump, concerned residents in our area looked to our local and state leaders to stand up for our rights and our future. Unfortunately, many of those leaders are more interested in lining their own pockets and maintaining their own status. We came together to build an alternative to business as usual, and to mobilize with our neighbors around common values that can both move our communities forward and protect what we have won.

In a very short time frame, we organized a slate of nearly 100 candidates to run for Freeholder, State Senate, State Assembly and County Committee in Middlesex and Somerset counties in the June 6, 2017 Democratic Primary. Since then, we have run for countywide committee seats, city council seats and other non-partisan offices. Working with other progressive activists in Middlesex County, we are running for and winning seats around the county.

Here in Piscataway, we have advanced an issue-based agenda for community engagement, transparency and accountability. From pressing for the construction of our new Community Center (40 years later) to broadcasting the Township Council meetings, because our elected officials refuse to do so, we are bringing people together to make Piscataway work for everyone.
We support the policy goals outlined by Bernie Sanders during his campaign for the Democratic Party nomination in the 2016 Presidential campaign (https://berniesanders.com/issues). We believe in social, political and economic justice, and want our elected officials at every level to fight for the rights of every day residents. We believe the Democratic Party should belong to working people, not millionaires and billionaires. We are running for local, county and state offices to make sure our party and our elected officials represent our values: fairness, equality and justice for all. Our leaders must be on the front lines of the resistance to the Trump agenda and stand up for us all. We hope you will join us.
